AMD has just put online the 11.8 WHQL Catalyst. The great novelty of these drivers is the arrival of a Black Edition processors overclocking CPU Overdrive page. -Side performance, AMD announces earnings up to 10% in Crysis 2, 8% in FEAR 3 DX11 with AA, 20% in Call of Duty Black Ops and an average of 30% with the use of the MLAA (Morphological AA). At the level of the bugs, the Catalyst 11.0 correct problems in 3D Mark 2011, Windows Media Center, VLC 1.1.10, Starcraft 2 and Crysis 2.
AMD updates days its drivers for its graphics cards these are then version 11.7. AMD has just released a hotfix for its Catalyst 11.6 drivers.The latter supports the new Llano processors and back on a few issues introduced with version 11.6 including.
Corrected problems are:
Appearance of a BSOD (blue screen) when a screen is connected to output HDMI or Display Port.Un screen flicker problem when the system is Idle.Un problem of mouse cursor.
amd catalyst 11.6 graphics drivers for the month of June are to be published.
These drivers are especially dedicated to the (CPU + GPU on the same chip) Llano APU which emerge in July, they implement including the Steady Video feature to stabilize the video in real time (filmed with a digital camera for example). Unfortunately this feature is reserved only for the APU and is not available for the PC with a Radeon graphics card. 11.6 Catalyst also provide an XviD decoding in applications Microsoft type Media Center.
Improvements in performance in a few games are also on the menu: Crisys (+ 7%), F1 2010 (+ 8%), Far Cry 2 (+ 5%), HAWX (+ 8%) as well as with the engine Unigine (+ 10%).
