Therefore, the Chameleon as its GTX 680 M chip, based on the Kepler architecture. It's now the most powerful graphics processor mobile lines. Designed to meet the expectations of the nomadic gamers, the mobile GPU is also an excellent energy management.

Engraved in 28nm, GTX 680 M is composed of 1344 CUDA cores while the GPU is running at 720 MHz. The map could embark up to 4 GB of GDDR5 to 115,2 GB/s bandwidth. In comparison, the GTX 675 M based on Fermi, offers 384 hearts CUDA and GPU at 620 MHz for a bandwidth of 96Go/s.

The GTX680M is 50% faster than the GTX 580 M and 15% to 20% more efficient than its competitor HD7970M, asked to check this course.

nvidia-gpu-specifications

Laptops such as the Alienware M17x or the MSI GT series from models will be available with the GTX 680 M and will have Optimus or Nvidia 3D Vision technology. Always for Alienware, the M18x should embark on a GTX SLI 680 M by the end of the month.

What promise very large performance. We would not surprised if the laptops in question are not the lighter and that their autonomy is not nor extraordinary... We will not miss to test it as soon as machines are available.

Asus announces its transforming Book

A laptop that turns into shelf, until then everything is normal in ASUS, but here the concept goes further embarking a processor Intel Ivy Bridge and dedicated graphics, nothing out!

asus-transformer-book-affiche-computex-2012ASUS can still surprise with its new tablet, laptop instead, finally Tablet still. Even if the concept is already known, ASUS has revisited here its Tablet transform in giving like simply to a classic laptop components, chip Intel Ivy Bridge to 17 Watts TDP and even additional according to manufacturer's graphics chip, but always keeping the ability to detach the screen from his basement.

At the level of the internal components which must logically to hide behind the screen, we will have a disc SSD with a capacity not communicated at this time for 11.3 inch, 13.3-inch and 14-inch slab. It is therefore well three adaptations of the new product called for the ASUS transform Book opportunity. Requires Intel chip, the operating system will be Windows 8 in its classical version, not RT. On the graphic part, we believe that the manufacturer will offer hybridization complete with the Intel HD 4000 part coupled in the processor when the Book transforming is in tablet mode and the graphical chip dedicated or added with the Lucid VirtuMVP, which would offer a good compromise in the two modes to combine autonomy and performance.

asus_transformer_book-dock.jpeg

At the time of its presentation to the 2012 Computex, ASUS is whether this is still a prototype and the choice component, design and functionality can be reviewed entirely by commercial exit for Christmas if everything is proceeding as planned. Given that it is still only a prototype, ASUS has of course not yet communicated on the price of such a machine, but we hope that it will not exceed the €1000.

SATA I.O Announces SATA-Express.

SATA I.O, industry consortium with rights and managing specification SATA as standard and, although of course, its promotion, today unveiled the development of the SATA-Express, a new standard combining the software part of the SATA and PCI-Express interface. This technology seems to be a way to increase the rate of transfers up to 8 GB/s or even 16, which will result in the creation of new devices and new connectors on the card-mother.

lcd9ixxyq230aff9h669.jpg

The DSS and other hybrid disks (such as the MOMENTUS SEAGATE SSD 4 GB and 500 GB of mechanical storage) flirt already with the limits of existing storage interfaces. SATA-Express will therefore provide a solution at low prices to use to maximize the potential of such products. CSC not requiring high transfer rates will still benefit from the pre-existing SATA interface.

SATA-Express is just one of the specifications of SATA I.O among others, aimed to provide a storage solution little expensive high-performance, optimized for specific market segments. Since its launch in 1999, the SATA standard absorbed 99% of the PC market, ranging from the standard mechanical disc in the optical drive from the DSS with new Micro-SATA and SATA µSSD, designed to provide small form factor drives and SATA USM, easily interchangeable, scalable storage solution.

Known Ivy Bridge, which will be the next generation of Intel processor with the 22 nm, will be compatible with Socket 1155 via a bios update. Gigabyte publishes a list revealing its motherboards series 6 compatible with Ivy Bridge as well as with the standard PCI-Express 3.0.

Support for the PCI-Express 3.0 standard is unique since it depends on the used processor. The Sandy Bridge integrates current processors a controller, which manages 16 lines PCI-Express 2.0 used for graphics cards. Unlike Ivy Bridge will handle sixteen lines PCI-Express 3.0 standard. Slots PCI-Express 3.0 and 2.0 being the same, a switch on the motherboard will then allow following the processor installed to use one or the other.
Course according to the number of adapters installed sixteen lines PCI-Express 3.0 will be spread over one or two ports PCI-Express.Here is the list of motherboards Gigabyte compatible PCI-Express 3.0 and Ivy Bridge via a bios update:

EK announces two new antifreeze for GeForce

Generally the antifreeze whole for graphics cards are limited to models that meet the original design proposed by Nvidia or ATI. EK, brand well known in the area of the water cooling, offers a bit of change with the arrival of two antifreeze for models that do not meet the original design proposed by Nvidia.

The first waterblock is GTX 570 and more precisely the model GTX570 the trademark EVGA HD. Reminder, EVGA GTX 570 HD to the particularity of having a Display Port output and to be less long than a classic GTX 570.

The second waterblock is compatible with the GTX 570 and GTX 580 Direct CU II from Asus. Finished the cooling air with three slots in the Direct CU II series. With this dedicated waterblock temperatures will chutées and congestion will be reduced. The owners of these cards will have then more excuses to go grab a Mhz.

These two antifreeze are planned for mid-August at a rate not communicated.

AMD announces average results for Q2

The California firm AMD has presented its results for the second quarter of 2011, positive, but without more.

Logo AMD Fusion

AMD has not surprised with the results of the second quarter of 2011. Sunnyvale firm displays a turnover of 1.57 billion, down 2% from the previous quarter, and 5% from last year. The benefits reach to $ 61 million, compared to 510 million in the first quarter, but also to the 43 million of losses in 2010. The average margin of the California company was 46 per cent these past three months.

AMD drops slightly as well for sales of CPU and GPU. In return, the launch of the new society APU is rather well spent. Logically, the CA for the third quarter should be on the rise (it refers to 10%). Expected now obviously looking forward to the launch of the processors from the new nm Bulldozer, to see what will be their impact on the finances of AMD!
