The Taiwanese manufacturer Team Group comes to unveil a new flash drive...

Team Group announces a new high performance flash drive. The Xtreem S2 has a format 2.5 inches and a 6 Gb/s Serial ATA interface. The Taiwanese manufacturer does not specify what kind of chip it uses, but can be bet on the SandForce SF-2281. This SSD will have 60, 120 and 240 GB memory flash MLC. Team Group promises performance of high level, with speeds sequential 550 MB/s read, for 480 MB/s (60 GB), 500 MB/s (120 GB) and 520 MB / s (240 GB) in writing. Maximum random performance will be their 50,000 IOPS. This new flash drive supports the TRIM command.
Team Group covers his last of a MTBF of 1.5 million hours, and a three year warranty. It is still unclear when and how much the Xtreem S2 will be available in our country. However, rates of other SF-2281 solutions are a good indication.
