Seagate has a new external wireless hard drive that allows access you to movies and music on your iPad without worrying about the tablet on puny storage.
GoFlex new Satellite Seagate storage Wireless Mobile is a stack of external hard disk 500 GB storage, Wi - Fi 802 with WPA security and a rechargeable battery capabilities. The new HD mobile, you can also stream video and audio content to three different mobile devices at a time, making travel by car for a long time with the family a little more bearable.
The Satellite is based on GoFlex Media iOS Seagate app to access your files via an iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch. The application allows you to view your content in folders separated for photos, music, video and documents. Alternatively, you can connect directly to your external storage device via a Web browser if you have a non - iOS as an Android tablet device or Windows Phone 7 device.
Seagate promises five hours of the life of the battery of the GoFlex Satellite when a user is content streaming and a maximum of 25 hours standby time. But you do not have to fear losing juice during a trip the device also comes with car chargers and the wall.
Seagate GoFlex Satellite's works with Mac OS X 10.5.8 or later, or Windows 7, Vista, XP, and the transfer of data from your computer on a USB 3.0 or 2.0, in addition to Wi - Fi connection. You can also get a Firewire 800 or powered eSATA interface if you prefer.
GoFlex Satellite sounds like an excellent idea, especially if you regret to buy the 16 GB iPad instead of fruit for the model 32 GB or 64 GB. But it will be interesting to see how the capabilities the device continuously hold up in real world tests.
The GoFlex Satellite will be available in July at Best Buy for $200, but you can pre-order now from Amazon, Best Buy, and Seagate.
