Apple sued for rapid startup of Mac OS X


Apple regularly suffers the indignities of competitors but they more often concern the iPhone. This time, the Cupertino firm is pursued by the company Operating Systems Solutions, based in Florida, for Mac OS X startup system. The latter believes that Apple makes use of technology to the startup of the operating system of its computers.


More specifically, the patent in question had been filed by LG manufacturer in 2002 and transferred to the complainant in 2008. It is a document stating that a system able to accelerate the start-up of the machine by locating the configuration of the BOOT directly in memory. Apple has for the moment not reacted to the announcement.
