Corsair offers a new capability in its Force GT range: after 60, 90, 120 and 240 GB models here an SSD of... 180 GB. Based on a now classic controller, SF-2281 at SandForce, he uses - as the Vertex 3 of OCZ - synchronous IMFT memory in 25 nm, gage performance.
As often, it is only on compressible data which are given values: 555 MB/s read and 525 MB/s write. In fact, it is of course often below: the majority of large file transfers (where sequential flows have an interest) is based on already compressed files. At the level of random write performance, it is the classic 85,000 IOPS which is announced (the limit of the controller).
For the rest, nothing of much original: format 2.5-inch SATA 6 GB/s, a guarantee of 3 years. Rest the price: $380 to the United States, against $490 to 240 GB. In the end, a DSS interesting for those who need more than 120 GB but less than 240 GB. And that's it.
