Corsair launches its Carbide 500R

The Californian manufacturer Corsair has officially launched its Carbide 500R housing.

Corsair indicates that its Carbide 500R is now available, a month after the arrival of the 400R, and four months after the announcement of these two means-Tower enclosures. This "new" solution made of steel and plastic measuring 520 x 200 x 500 mm. It can accommodate an ATX or Micro-ATX motherboard, and any graphics card. Its facade shows four 5.25-inch bays, and a control panel with two ports USB 3.0, FireWire port, and a pair of 3.5 mm jacks. This 500R Carbide will support a maximum of six HDD/SSD 3.5 or 2.5-inch.


It supports a maximum of ten fans, and it is provided with three 120 mm (two front, one rear) and a 200 mm (on the right panel). This package is offered in two colours, all black, or black and white bi-ton. Corsair covers its novelty of a two year warranty. The Carbide 500R is marketed across the Atlantic to public price of $ 139 (€125 TTC). It is also available in Poland under the bar of €100.
