The discreet and rapid CPL in Netgear

In the small world of the CPL, two types of packages has for long been: the classics without female and those with a Jack. The seconds, more expensive, are generally more successful: they better filter disturbance and it is possible to place them between a multiprise and the wall, which prevents parasites due to devices such as smartphones Chargers or halogen lamps.

Since a few months, we see also the "nano" adapters, smaller all while remaining efficient. And there is therefore now "nano" to a female connector adapters. After the French home Lea, is Netgear that QuickDraw: XAV1601 housings are compact and offer a Jack. It is conventional technology, the HomePlug AV 200 megabits/s in theory, and it is of course secure via encryption in AES 128-bit. As usual, don't expect to really 200 megabits/s: Netgear speaks of 90 Mbps "application flow" (a euphemism to refer to real flow) and our tests have shown that it is difficult to exceed 70 Mbps in TCP, even on an electrical circuit dedicated.

The boxes are sold in kit for €90 and it is possible to buy a single package at a price of €50. Note that the society should also propose a variant with two Ethernet jacks under the name of XAV2602.
