Yesterday, Free proposed firmware 1.1 of the Freebox V6 and today, this firmware has been disabled. Indeed, many people returned to version 1.0.5.1 and the new firmware is no longer available.
Without that it is official, two reasons are emerging. the first is a bug blocking: our brothers have reported that many users had problems with the phone by installing the new firmware. Free have therefore decided to return to the old firmware the time to correct the bug. The second reason would be bound to a function: Free has proposed a new function called "AirMedia" in the Freebox. And AirMedia is "compatible" AirPlay, Apple technology. Seen the price charged by Apple for the implementation of AirPlay (informally between 40 and $100), Free surely uses ShairPort, an implementation open source of AirPlay, which uses the key private to an AirPort Express Terminal. That Apple has applied for Free to remove this function violates the intellectual property of the firm is therefore not excluded...
