CPL 500 Mbps and gigabit switch... at the same time

The CPL has the wind and the France is a country where the technology is very present (builders can thank the FAI). And if Free, SFR or Orange use enclosures "200 Mbps", there are now templates "500 megabits/s". In both cases, theoretical values and must be at least divide the values by three for the practical flow rates, but it is usually more than enough for domestic use.

The new model of Trendnet, TPL-405, is an adapter 500 megabits/s which has a special feature: it incorporates an Ethernet switch with four connectors. If the connectors themselves may work to 1 gigabit/S, the CPL limit network, but the whole quite practical: simply a box to connect the console, the TV, Blu - ray drive, etc. Good news for many: the Ethernet remains majority on salon equipment and optional Wi - Fi adapters are expensive.

TPL-405 is complete and even if its price is higher than the average (€70), it allows to save the price of an Ethernet switch. The enclosure should be available in December.
