Gigabyte: the Thunderbolt and the LGA2011 program

Two ports Thunderbolt on one side and the LGA2011 of the other to four motherboards signed Gigabyte.

From the point of view of performance, the two implementations should be identical, providing 10 Gbit/s of bandwidth in each direction.


This divergence between Sony and Apple raises the question of the viability of Light Peak or ThunderBolt in the long term.
