MSI is the Atom to his mother mini-ITX

Of mini-ITX with Intel Atom and full output video, MSI offers a motherboard for HTPC or industrialists who wish to manage multiple control screens.

MSI presents its new motherboard format mini-ITX, which has the particularity to be equipped with a processor Intel Atom after MS-9893, this motherboard offers many output video, including two ports directly accessible to the rear as the VGA port and HDMI port, but offers also a third type video output LVDS 18 and 24 bit to connect a compatible screen directly on the pins on the motherboard.

The SO-DIMM format, MS-9893 supports only a single bar for a maximum of 4 GB DDR3-1066 memory. -Side processor, it will be possible to choose between an Intel Atom D2550 engraved in 32 nm developing 10 Watts TDP for two hearts and four processing threads supporting 64 bit for a 1.86 GHz operating frequency. This processor manages directly the LVDS 24 bit then that second processor available for this motherboard supports only the 18 bit and is other than the Intel Atom legal. Running at the same speed with the same number of processing cores with the same fineness of engraving, but with a lower TDP to 6.5 Watts.

Present on the two connectors declinations are quite numerous because there are two RS232 ports to the rear and four other via pin on the map, four USB 2.0 on the back panel ports and two internal, GPI four ports and four other GPO, a conventional PCI and a mini port PCI-Express to accommodate an mSATA map or a map of Wi-Fi for example extension. BIOSTAR launches a new card mother AM3 +

For all AMD processors supporting socket AM3 +, BIOSTAR launches motherboard well off and not expensive to €75.

There is not for Intel processors, at least not in Biostar that proposes us today a new motherboard on socket AM3 +. Its name? TA970XE.

The ATX format, it is managed by chipset AMD 970 as its name indicates, of the SouthBridge SB950 and feed into the CPU by its five floors of food, very little for a card which is oriented overclocking and Gamers. Also controlled by its smart UEFI House, it may support drives larger than 2 TB, and has four banks DDR3 memory between 800 and 1866 MHz with a pre-OC mode up to 2000 MHz for a total maximum of 32 GB.

On interfaces, it offers two slots PCI-Express 2.0 x 16, five SATA 3 ports with support for RAID 0,1,5 and 10, a port eSATA, two USB 3.0 ports controlled by the chipset ASMedia ASM1042 and eight ports USB 2.0 and a FireWire port which will pass through the chipset VIA VT6315N. There is also a gigabit Ethernet (Realtek RTL8111E) port and 8 + 1 sound output via the chip VIA VT1828S. Biostar has provided its TA970XE two other PCI-Express 2.0 x 1 slots and two PCI slots.

This motherboard has also a few features such as the BIOSTAR G.P.U for Green Power Utility which allows to optimize the power of the processor when it is not loaded. But also of the Rapid Switch function that allows to quickly restart the configuration in the case of an unfortunate overclocking which is accompanied by another Rapid Debug named function that displays the status of the motherboard on the LED control. It also has different applications dedicated to the UEFI, such as BIOS Flasher or BIOS RELIFE which allows to update or to own firmware from a USB key. Last application called BIO-Remote 2 allows the control of the media center under Windows since the mobile Android or iOS.

Last House known as the Clean Tone 2 functionality is available on this motherboard. It allows dedicate capacitors for each line, which will provide greater than 98 dB signal-to-noise ratio. Available soon in our French shops for €75 on average.

Gigabyte G1.Sniper 2: €400 for a card mother LGA-1155?

The Taiwanese manufacturer Gigabyte will soon launch a motherboard Z68/LGA-1155 to more than €400...

A little over five years ago, the motherboard in the heart of an Intel platform offered a considerable amount of features that are now directly integrated into Santa Clara giant processors. It was justifiable to spend some money on this component. This logic is now ancient history, and it is difficult to see how Gigabyte can afford to seek more than €400 for the G1.Sniper 2.

This motherboard is the players, a population that the Taiwanese manufacturer clearly considered cows milk. To the ATX, it incorporates the Intel Z68 Express chipset and socket LGA-1155, which also supports the current Sandy Bridge, as the future Ivy Bridge.  It has also four slots supporting the DDR3 to 2133 MHz on two channels, and two slots PCI Express x 16 (SNB, IVB 3.0 2.0), which are compatible with SLI, CrossFireX, and Virtu technologies. Side storage, there are four Serial ATA 6 Gb/s, and three ports 3 Gb/s.

Gigabyte also incorporates a Bigfoot Networks Killer E2100 network controller and a Creative CA20K2 audio controller. These solutions significantly lead the invoice, whereas the gains they make are not always obvious. The presence of an amplifier helmet will be more significant. Panel aft of the G1.Sniper 2 shows ports, HDMI, eSATA and USB 3.0. The side a little more, it should be noted the presence of an automatic overclocking button, a Touch BIOS, and a control panel (powered) eSATA port and two additional USB 3.0 ports. It has therefore case a relatively complete product, but we excuse a high label!

Asus has formalized its motherboard mini-ITX AMD Llano processors destined. It will be so equipped with the socket FM1 supported by chipset AMD A75.If this motherboard is the mini-ITX format, it is not less well equipped.
