Toshiba has announced a new generation of hard drives for enterprises. The MK01GRRB / R is a solution in 2.5 inches. It features a Serial Attached SCSI to 6 Gb / s and incorporates 32 MB of cache. The plates display the HDD speeds of 15,000 rpm. Toshiba's new baby will come in two capacities: 147 GB and 300 GB These discs measure 69.85 x 100.45 x 15 mm and they weigh 225 g.
Consumption was 4.3 or 4.5 watts in idle, and 8.7 watts in load as they emit 33 dB. The Japanese manufacturer will also offer versions including hardware-based encryption of data.
