Ultra HDTV has its standard: 7680 x 4320 for our TV!

TV Ultra high definition (UHDTV) already sees its technical characteristics defined by the experts of ITU (International Telecommunication Union) and it is indeed already in experimentation at the Japan on the NHK channel.


A resolution of 7680 x 4320 (definition 8 K) displayed images are then composed of 33 million pixels "only" 2 million for the current 1080p or a nose and incomparable image quality 16 times more. Of course the sound part will not left since the standard specifications provide support of 22.2 channels (!).

Unfortunately, the arrival on the market for televisions UHDTV is not expected before 2020, but demonstrations are expected during the London Olympic Games in 2012 in some public places with retransmission of certain events captured in 4320p.


In the meantime, the transition will be surely format Quad Full HD (3840 x 2160 pixels - definition 4 K) already in force in some cinemas and may be available on future consoles PS4 and Xbox 3...
