On the night of 8 to 9 September, Microsoft online services (Hotmail, Office Live, Skydrive) underwent a global failure. Microsoft, which recognizes the incident, has promised a rapid restoration of all affected services. If any re - works without problem for some people this morning, access to Hotmail or Skydrive is visibly still problematic for many people (as is our case). Note that these are all services related to the Live ID which met with problems.

"We are aware of a failure affecting Hotmail, SkyDrive and other of our services." We work actively in the resolution of this problem. "More future information" indicated this morning team of Hotmail on Twitter. And a few minutes later, a second message: "We are deploying a patch which we believe that it will correct the problems with Hotmail, SkyDrive, and our other Live service." Thank you for your patience! "."

All of the MSN portal services have not been spared, and it would seem that instant messaging was also victim of this failure. The following online tools Office 365 have also been affected. Two services that, in our case, work. Because if the patches are deployed, it will be that they have been for everyone, changes took place at the level of the DNS configuration. It is a problem at the level of the DNS which is suspected by Microsoft to have caused all this mess. Problems that may be linked to a power outage mass found in the Western United States, deprived of electricity more than 6 million homes.
