According to DigiTimes, Apple is about to change provider of screens for its second generation iPad. The California-based company would have been forced to review its plans because of the problems of returns to the level of the currently produced by LG Display screens, an impressive number of screens would not withstand tests quality. Apple would have suspended the monitors from LG Display commands to turn to Samsung and Chimei Innolux.

In July, LG Display would have managed to produce only 2.5 million respecting the Apple specifications while the command amounted to 4 million units. During the same month, Samsung has produced 2 million screens for the iPad 2, more than the usual delivery of one million pieces.

Chimei Innolux manufacturer could take advantage of the situation by also increasing its production of screens for the iPad 2. It is much easier that this manufacturer is close to Foxconn, the final assembler of the Apple tablet. Despite logistical problems, Apple has managed to cover demand for iPad since the Tablet is now shipped under 24 h under 1-3 days in France and the United States.
