Mac OS X Lion: USB keys already there

The USB key to complete resettlement of Lion without having to go through the Mac App Store gradually arrived in store.

Last July, Apple released its new operating system Mac OS X Lion available only on the Mac App Store. In the aftermath, a press release announced the arrival of a USB key to install Lion on a compatible Mac for approximately 60 euros. According to 9to5Mac, this USB key to install Mac OS X Lion happens gradually in the Apple Store. It looks like course as two drops of water to the USB key provided with the MacBook Air 2010, 2011 models are lacking because they incorporate a restore partition.

Finally, no need to rush on this USB key, since as explained in an internal Apple memo, this USB key will be provided free of charge to all users who are unable to reinstall Mac OS X Lion via restoration tools. A priori, all buyers of MacBook Pro with preinstalled Lion are affected by this measure since it is impossible to reinstall the system on a new hard disk.
