Kingston unveils its SSD performance SSDNow V + 200

In order to enrich its offer and propose competitive performance, the Kingston manufacturer has just announced new SSD to replace those of the V200 series. Simply known as V + 200, these new flash drives abandon the memory JMicron JMF66x controller for the benefit of the SandForce SF-2281.


To take advantage of the hardware, it now to be reckoned on NAND type asynchronous MLC flash memory engraved in 25 nanometres. The used interface will always be the III SATA 6 Gbps.


Kingston said that this new range allows to achieve relatively high sequential flow rates: up to 535 MB/s read and up to 480 MB/s write. Five capabilities are announced: 90 GB, 60 GB, 120 GB, 240 GB and 480 GB.

Guaranteed for three years, the SSD V + 200 are being marketed. It take about 110 euros for the 60 GB model, 150 euro for 90 GB, 190 euros to 120 GB, 370 euros to 240 GB and 745 euros for 480 GB.
