The Radeon HD 7950 of unveiled AMD reference

Here are the first photos of what would be the Radeon HD 7950 of AMD card reference design

The new graphics card AMD based on GPU Tahiti engraved in 28 nm, the Radeon HD 7950, shows his design of the OBR - hardware .com site reference.

Can be distinguished that the blower off in front of the 7970 HD has been replaced by a traditional heatpipe with axial fan in the centre of the PCB. The 7950 HD would see its GPU running at 800 Mhz and its 3 GB of GDDR5 memory on 384 bit bus turn at 1250 MHz.

The map would propose the same connectors as its big sister to a HDMI 1.4 port, Dual Link DVI port and two DisplayPort 1.2. According to OBR, the PCB of the 7950 HD would be slightly different from the 7970 which would make the map totally non-débridable.

The card is expected to output late January - early February for a 100 to 150 dollars lower than the Radeon HD 7970 tariff.
