HP Unveils its ultrabook intended for the general public, the Envy 14 spectrum model.
Hewlett-Packard launches to the assault on the market of the ultrabooks Envy 14 spectrum model design furiously Recalling the MacBook Pro from Apple. Teasé a few days earlier by a very suggestive video, spectrum finally unveils its lines and its technical characteristics.
This ultraportable composed of aluminum and glass (Corning Gorilla Glass) adopts a chassis of a 13.3 "(size of 327 x 220 mm x 20 mm to 1.8 kg) but integrates a slab of 14" HD + Radiance (definition of 1600 x 900 pixels).
For the rest of the equipment, the spectrum carbide core i5 or i7 Intel supported by 4 or 8 GB of RAM, a DSS 128 or 256 GB and integrates two USB 3.0 ports, a Gigabit Ethernet, a mini DP port port, HDMI output and a HD webcam. Course level connectivity is WiFi, Bluetooth but also the WiDi (Wireless Display) and the NFC. The keyboard is back-lit and the battery would provide up to nine hours of maximum autonomy.
All works under Windows 7 and comes with a choice software suite including Photoshop Elements 10, Premiere Elements 10 and Norton Internet Security. The spectrum is scheduled for output to the United States on 8 February at a rate of $ 1400. Once again, it is well above the $ 1000 desired by Intel.
