BlackBerry OS 10: RIM lied?

RIM is in the red in the stock market, delaying the release of its next update and could even be bought...

Research In Motion, maker of the BlackBerry, had promised a new version of its operating system, initially called the BBX (then become BlackBerry OS 10 on court proceedings) to the end of 2011. But as we learn it recently, the manufacturer indicates that delays on the porting of its BBM services on this new version require him to repel the outputs of the first smartphones of the mark under OS 10. Now, the grand launch of the new BlackBerry is more expected before the end of the year 2012...


The co-CEO of RIM, Mike Lazaridis, attributed the fault of the delay, not step in software development, but the delivery of the LTE chip which should equipped with the next BlackBerry, because tests of the software to these new chips can not be made in time. But according to BGR, who cites an anonymous source, it is the development that takes late, particularly because of the development of version 2 of the tablet of the constructor (PlayBook) and the evolution of software of the first version that does not have access, for the time being, mark courier services.


Of course, RIM refutes all the statements made by BGR that the firm described as inaccurate.
