LG: the end of the ugly 3D glasses

Much cheaper and more comfortable to wear glasses. This sounds like advertising for an optician slogan, but it is at LG Electronics that the need for 3D glasses.


The South Korean Group announced a new collection of passive 3D glasses that will be available in the first quarter of 2012 at prices however not disclosed. Among the three models, an a was developed in collaboration with the French designer Alain Mikli.


F360 model (in the Middle below) weighs 16 grams with curved lenses which cover a large part of the face to provide a better experience of immersion.

Recall that for stereoscopic 3D, two technologies exist. For the active 3D glasses embark electronics and are heavier than for passive 3D with polarized lenses. Champion of passive 3D, LG will support a series of events around film and 3D games in 2012.
