Fault or not, HP has released new firmware for its line of LaserJet printers. They seem to correct said fault safety for "nasty villains" to enter on networks through the printer, or even to take fire it remotely by heating one of its internal components...


The manufacturer indicates that there is in fact not fault, or that it is not easily accessible, as must be that the attacker already within the company to push the corrupted firmware into the target printer and that no clients around the world complained incendiary printer. Still happy, we are tempted to add. HP promotes however disable the automatic update of firmware - would therefore - and it is wiser to put it behind a firewall...
